For Jennifer, Ryan, and Their 7 Beautiful Children

Hi, my name is Joanna Watwood, and I’ve had the immense honor of calling Jennifer DellaCrosse a dear friend for last last fifteen years.

It’s hard to describe the kind of impact she has had on my life—her friendship, her prayers, her deep and abiding faith have shaped me in ways I’m still discovering. She is a woman whose love for God radiates into every relationship, and her strength has become an anchor for so many of us.

As many of you know, Jen was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer (glioblastoma) almost two years ago. From the beginning, she and her husband Ryan—along with their seven incredible children—have walked this road with a grace and faith that has left me in awe.

Their witness has been nothing short of overwhelming: a testimony to the beauty of love in suffering, and to the power of community when it surrounds a family with prayer and presence.

Because of your generous support in our previous GoFundMe, the DellaCrosses were able to make memories that will last a lifetime—family trips, precious moments, and the kind of experiences that brought joy and rest in the midst of an arduous journey. Jen was also able to continue to fight this nasty cancer with not only standard medical treatments, but also by being able to take part in a trial study and incorporate supplements into her daily routine to give her a leg up in the fight.

You gave the DellaCrosse more than money—you gave them time, laughter, and lasting joy. I’ve seen firsthand the fruit of your generosity. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to help coordinate and witness the outpouring of love.

Now, the DellaCrosses are entering a new and sacred part of this journey. Jen has transitioned into hospice care.

As they prepare for what lies ahead, they are facing new challenges—spiritually, logistically and emotionally.

They are preparing for Jen’s final days on earth and the journey home to the Father. That means making space for her extended family to be present—flying in a dozen or more loved ones who need assistance, housing them during this time, and planning a funeral and memorial that honors the beauty of her life and the depth of her legacy.

These are not easy expenses to carry alone—and I want to make sure they don’t have to.

This new round of support will help with:

    •    Coordinating and covering travel and lodging for Jen’s family to be by her side during this time and attend her funeral.

    •    Funeral and memorial expenses, as they seek to honor Jen with beauty, reverence, and community.

    •   Anything left over will be used to allow Ryan and the kids the opportunity to just be a family after the funeral—a time to rest, grieve, and begin to mend together after walking through so much.

Please know this: the DellaCrosses would never ask for this themselves. They are not a family who expects—they simply trust. And I’ve seen that trust honored in miraculous ways. So I’m asking on their behalf, because I know how deeply this support can bless them, and because I’ve seen the way God has used your generosity to carry them through this storm.
