Hi, my name is Catherine, I'm doing a fundraiser for my shipmate and Navy Veteran Elizabeth Ramirez. I met her back in 2018, where we both served together in the Navy.

On Monday, January 22. 2024, Elizabeth and her family lost everything recently due to flash flooding from the Tropical Storm that devastated Southern California last week. Elizabeth (LIZ) and her family were one of the many families who suffered from the devastation of last Monday's Storm and would greatly appreciate any help and support during this very tumultuous time. I decided to do this because out of all people, Elizabeth has always been an amazing friend and even more incredible person!

She is truly one of those people that would give you the shirt of her back if you needed it! She proudly served her country for 5yrs in the Navy and was recently looking forward to her new life as a civilian last year.

This storm caused intense rainfall that flooded out her entire neighborhood!! This has been a nightmare of course for her and her family and millions of others in the San Diego area, that had to evacuate due to their homes becoming completely uninhabitable due to the flood damage.

Anyone who was fortunate enough to have ever crossed paths with Liz already knows that if this had happened to anyone...Elizabeth would be one of the first ones in line to step up and lend a hand! I don't know of many people who are as selfless as she is.

Any support will be greatly appreciated as they try picking up the pieces from this overwhelming mental, emotional, and financial burden.

Returning to normalcy is going to be a long and difficult road for my friend and countless others. I am setting the initial fundraising goal of $10,000 to help Liz and her family begin to recover. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated! ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO LIZ AND HER FAMILY!!
