Delta Clinic Stabilization Fund to support staff.

This fundraiser is organized by Jay Turner, I am the Clinic

Administrator for one of the three abortion clinics remaining in

Louisiana.

 

Louisiana is one of thirteen states that have a “ trigger ban” that would ban abortions in Louisiana if Roe v Wade is overturned.

 

Delta Clinic of Baton Rouge‘s staff, nurses, and physicians have been on the front line guaranteeing access and providing non-judgemental, quality abortion care services for over 20 years.

 

Our staff never abandoned our clients even when they knew their jobs were in danger pending the Supreme Court of the United States ( SCOTUS) pending decision on Roe v Wade.

 

Our clinic stopped providing services effective 6/24/22 in accordance with the SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe V Wade.

 

A Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) was obtained today ( 6/27) allowing our clinic to resume services until July 8, 2022.

 

Contacted our staff today and they returned to work immediately to provide much-needed services for as long as the TRO is in effect.

 

Our staff’s dedication and commitment to the provision of abortion care services are appreciated.

 

I am asking for donations to raise

$ 200,000 to provide six months severance pay to our staff.

 

I want to show them an appreciation for working on the front lines for years in an extremely stressful environment where their personal safety was always at risk.
