Delta Dallas, Evy Dru Dallas

I’ve started this GoFundMe page for my great-granddaughter, Evy Dru Dallas, and her mom (my granddaughter) Delta.

Delta is a hard-working single mom. She works in the medical field. Evy Dru is 4 years old and attends East Amory Pre-School. She loves everyone and wants to give hugs and kisses every day to her family, her teachers at Pre-School her friends, and her kitten, Roger.

Evy Dru has been suffering from both ears being infected for the past 3-4 months. This latest infection came after her third set of ear tubes. Traditional medical therapy has not brought a cure.

This week Evy Dru’s ENT doctor admitted her to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo for what we expected to be 5-7 days.

They have done a good bit of lab work. Her blood culture came back and there is bacteria in her bloodstream. So right now she is considered bacteremic. The same bacteria that was in her ears was absorbed into her little body.

They are looking at a long stay there in Tupelo. (estimating 14-21 days.)

UPDATE:

The two blood cultures are negative as of now however they have to stay negative and not grow out any bacteria for a minimum of 48 hours to start our countdown for coming home.

Dr. Brown is wanting to insert a PICC line on Monday or Tuesday for fluids and antibiotics.

Evy Dru has stayed in bed most of today. We tried to go outside so she could play with chalk however she wanted to come back in and lay down.

It can be incredibly hard to ask for help, and it's not in Delta’s nature to do so, so I’m asking for her. I have blocked her from this post at this time. During these weeks to come, her monthly expenses will continue, rent, car payment, insurance, utilities, and fuel. One missed week of work is stressful, we know she will be out of work for several weeks. Help with those expenses is the reason for this GoFundMe.

Delta is 100% devoted to taking care of Evy Dru and with one less expense she can be more focused on what needs to be done for Evy Dru.

We know many are struggling.
