Demon Cop Comic Book (Finishing Art Part 1)

Hello, my name is Juan Batista.

Here's a brief summary of me: I grew up in an extremely toxic neighborhood. With the physical/mental stress I suffered regularly, I decided for my safety and sanity to move away.  In turn, I was living homeless and on and off unstably with friends. Finally, I've come into my own and am in a position to follow my dreams and goals. One of those dreams is being able to create my own Comic Book!

Why is this a dream?

When I lived on the streets, one of the things that helped me get through the hard times was comic books. I used to dream that one day one of my favorite heroes would save me from the craziness. And I hope to create a book that can do the same for someone else and maybe ignite their passion and creativity in the art of entertainment as it did for me.

What is the comic about?

The title of the book is:

Demon Cop

The Story: A child born from a rape victim has the ability to see demons due to fact that he was created by a demon-possessed officer who sexually assaulted the baby's mother. The attack sends the father to prison where he gets killed and for the mother to commit suicide after the baby's birth making his life’s mission to save his parents' souls from damnation. He searches the city he was raised in, for the particular demon who’s responsible for his existence to destroy him personally. While working as a cop and for an Angel, he makes a deal to capture and destroy 1 million demons in return for both his parents to be cleansed of their sins and for them to finally reach heaven.

Since he’s part demon, angels don’t like him and demons try to connect with him. His dad grew to be an atheist due to the evils he’s seen as a police officer, so when the attack occurred he thought he just lost his mind and deserves punishment even though he never had thoughts or acted out like this before. His mother a woman of faith, was also the working partner of his dad. She always tried to show him there’s light even in the dark, until that fateful day of the attack. After that, she herself loses faith and goes mad when she finds out she’s pregnant. After therapy and confronting her ex-partner in prison, she goes into labor and gives birth to the boy when she feels a dark presence coming from him. She gets even crazier and blames herself for keeping this abomination of life and ends up taking her own as self-punishment.

His eyes are unique, he uses his police equipment plus religious artifacts to kill demons. He’s like a mix of Blade and John Constantine. His grandmother (George’s mother) raises him. And with the help of Arch Angel Karazel, teaches him how to protect himself from the evil that he is able to see.
