Help pay funeral expenses for Denae Nicole Davis aka NaNa

Hello, my name is Linda. I am fundraising for my favorite Niece Denae Nicole Davis aka “NaNa” who passed away on May 10th at the young age of 38. Her father came into Chicago to spend his 65th birthday (May 11th) with family. Now he must plan her funeral.

In 2016, Denae and her three siblings lost their Mother to cancer. The following year, they lost their oldest brother Devon to pneumonia. Denae is survived by her father, Richard Davis, Jr. and siblings Tanisha Brooks and Brandon Davis.

After the deaths of her big brother and then her Mom, life for Denae seemed to deteriorate. She often suffered with mental illness and bipolar disorder. Prior to the deaths, they were a close knit family who enjoyed doing everything together and always dressing alike. But after they passed, Denae’s health took a turn for the worse. She tried to self medicate herself to ease those pains. She spent five years of her young life battling her demons, trying to get her life in order. In 2023, with all her determination, Denae again sought recovery. Miraculously, she had just achieved one year of sobriety. Denae did so well that they made her Director of the program where she helped others change their lives around.

Denae also suffered from sleep apnea. Cause of death has not yet been determined. It has not been easy, and the family could really use your financial support to cover funeral arrangements.
