Denise Amber Lee scholarship fund

Rick and Sue Goff, along with Amanda and Tyler, are not only individuals I try to emulate throughout life, but Rick and Sue are like a second set of parents. Added into that, they are my best friends and confidants.

When their oldest daughter, Denise Amber Goff-Lee, was taken from us in the prime of her life, her story inspired thousands upon thousands, possibly millions of people.

All throughout the United States of America, and the world, Denise’s name is universally, known as a fighter, a beautiful soul, and a cherished child of God.

Along with Rick and Sue, we’ve all been collaborating and trying to come up with a way to keep her name alive, so that others who have not yet heard her story, can be inspired by her bravery, courage, and steadfastness. Even in her darkest hour of life.

We are proud to roll-out, and announce, the formation of the Denise Amber Lee scholarship award for perseverance and courage.

It will be open and available to all graduating seniors of Lemon Bay High School.

We hope to continue this scholarship indefinitely.

We are still in the beginning stages of coming up with fundraising ideas like golf tournaments, baked goods, and private and personal donations.

An account will be initiated and set up, and this will follow all rules and regulations set forth by the Charlotte County School Board and Lemon Bay High School.

Tragedies occur in life. We don’t understand them, and we certainly don’t agree with God’s timing.

But when tragedies occur, legacies are born. And that’s exactly the case with Denises story.

Let’s celebrate Denise’s life and Legacy by assisting students who want to better themselves with further education and goals.
