Denise Field’s funeral

I devastatingly lost my mother very suddenly without warning a couple of weeks ago and we are approaching the date of her funeral on the 27th October. Unfortunately, funerals are expensive and due to my family’s financial situation, the fear of how to cover the costs is something at the forefront of our minds.

My mother was the most caring, selfless and loving person I knew. Her doors were open for anyone and everyone to come in and have a patient, loving shoulder to lean on. Her and my dad have worked hard their whole lives, owning their own business and unfortunately losing it due to many factors, including theft from people they trusted.

My dad is unsurprisingly finding this time extremely difficult, with many things to think about including debts that they have accumulated in their life, to selling the childhood home me and my brother were raised in. This house also became home to a handful of young people who were in bad circumstances and had nowhere else to go.

With the selflessness that both my parents have shown throughout their lives, and the countless people they have undoubtedly helped, it breaks my heart to think that my dad has yet another expense to think of when all he should be worrying about is grieving and mourning the loss of his wife of 30+ years.

Anything that can be donated would be greatly appreciated, whether it £5 or £50.
