Hi, my name is Laura. For those of you that don’t know me, I’ve been a close friend of Peter’s for 15 years.

On Monday, September 19th, Peter received a phone call. His mother, Denise, had passed away.

Anyone that has lost a loved one, knows how difficult it is. Not only the grief that comes with their passing, but also the financial burden that is placed upon the next of kin. Peter wants to be sure that his mother receives a proper memorial.

That is why I wanted to make a gofundme for him. If you’re able to donate anything, it would be extremely helpful for him during this time. I hate the thought of him having to worry about the financial logistics and whether or not he’ll have rent next month instead of being able to cope with his loss.

I never had the opportunity to meet Denise. I have, however, been able to hear Peter talk about her. Although it was a strained relationship, he always had a softness in his voice when speaking about her. He knew in his heart that she had done her best. Grief is a difficult thing that way. You must learn to forgive them and forgive yourself.
