Denise Moore's Final expenses and Medical Bill's.

My name is Michelle and I have the privilege of being Denise Moore’s daughter. So many people have reached out with beautiful stories of Mama or asked how they could help. After much deliberation and prayer, I put this fundraiser together to help pay her Medical bills and Final expenses if anyone would like to help, Mama did not have Life Insurance.

Mama was such a light in this world, she could not stand to see a person suffering and did everything in her power to make the world a better place. I can 100% say the world is a better place because she was in it. She believed that food and shelter were human rights and she spent so many years spending all her time working with and volunteering to the homeless, less fortunate, and those with mental health issues. She was never “off”, her evenings and weekends were spent preparing meals and serving, receiving and passing out donations, advocating for those that did not have a voice, or directing people to resources. She loved people and helped in any way that she could, and she thanked God every day for her ability to serve. She was not planning to ever slow down or retire, her work was her passion.

Mama tested positive for Covid in November and spent all but a few days in the Hospital ICU fighting for her life until she went to be with the Lord December 31st. The Covid caused bilateral pneumonia and respiratory and heart failure. The hospital was a tough journey for her, blood draws several times a day, breathing treatments, and eventually being put on the ventilator. I tell you this because even in her suffering she was an example of Jesus’s love, compassion, and how to treat others. Not even one complaint, she thanked the nurses constantly for their care (even the painful treatments), and tried to make them feel better. She never gave up faith, she believed that she would receive her miracle and she did receive several. Like being able to come home from the hospital for a few days the first time, we will always treasure that precious time with her, she was so thankful to spend time with her grandson Caleb and her beloved dogs. The second miracle was coming off the ventilator the first time, they said it would not happen. I will again always treasure and thank God for the last few days with her and the time we spent together in prayer.

If you find it in your heart to give or share this fundraiser it would be most appreciated. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
