Denise Van Ness’s Medical Fund

Over a month ago our mother, Denise Van Ness, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. After going to the doctor and receiving a biopsy, the doctor informed us that she was HER 2 positive which is a more aggressive cancer. She started chemotherapy last Friday the 6th, which is the first of 6 treatments she has to receive over the next 18 weeks, before she will be undergoing surgery, followed by radiation,  to make sure they get all of the cancerous cells. 

Her first chemotherapy session last week went well but she has had a lot of side effects. She has been self employed running an online business and due to her reaction to chemo it has been difficult for her to work. This creates added stress which isn’t helpful for keeping her immune system strong and her mind focused on healing. 

To alleviate financial stress we decided to make a go fund me to raise money to help with further medical expenses and lost income from not being able to work. This year has put a lot of financial strain on our family after moving forward from a foreclosure situation.

In Denise’s spare time she enjoys hiking, spending time with all her close friends, bowling on the Kegler’s league, and being outdoors as much as she can when not working. Any donation is greatly appreciated at this time, even if you can’t donate if you could keep our mom in your thoughts and prayers. if you could spread the word as well, we would appreciate that as well!
