Denise and Ron Wiscons

My Mom suffered a stroke back in November at our house. We immediately got her to St. Mary’s and she was subsequently Life Flighted to St. Francis for treatment.

She suffered a hemorrhagic stroke that has left her paralyzed on her right side for the most part.

You all know her and know she’d do anything for anyone(especially if they have four legs and fur )…I get that from her ❤️

She has been at Knox County Nursing Home for the last several months and we’re finally at a place that she’s MORE than ready to come home!

In lieu of an in person “benefit” which I’ve taken part in SO many over the years…her friends and Ron have asked that I reach out via the Go Fund Me platform as it’s granting us more time to ready the house for her homecoming

She’s incredibly excited about it to say the least.

The house has been cleared and things are looking good on that front…

However, Ron’s bills are enormous…believe me I pay most of them

Insurance stopped paying for her nursing home care after 6 weeks…that alone is $250 a day for him out of pocket

I do have in home therapy lined up and a hospital bed, but nothing else is covered by insurance…

Restroom safety, bedroom safety, all in all adapting to an amazing stroke survivors wellbeing at home

The nursing home bill will be there…it is what it is…

Ron just wants her home, SAFE, comfortable and more at peace

I’m doing everything I possibly can to make that happen

I know she’d be super pissed if she knew everything that was going on behind the scenes, because I definitely am…

I’m just asking for any kind of help that any of you could give to help support Ron and Denise in these uncertain times and circumstances

Just sharing would help immensely
