Dennis James Ingram born on July 28, 1957, the second child born to the proud parents of James and Irma Ingram in Redwood City, California.
At an early age Dennis loved playing with his siblings and he developed a love for music. He was nicknamed Dennis the menace after a 1950’s movie featuring a mischievous little boy who was full of overactive energy.
Dennis attended schools in the Ravenswood School District. Dennis was a student at Menlo Atherton High School in Atherton, California. He participated in track and field events as well as in running cross country races. In his sophomore year he was a member of the Menlo Atherton Bears’ Spiker Team. He was noted as an excellent runner that helped to hold the Junior Varsity team together throughout its meet against San Carlos High School. He also participated in the Menlo Atherton Relay Races against six Sequoia District Schools running in lane three of the 440 and 880 Relay races. He received numerous medals and trophies. Dennis graduated with his class in 1975 and he became one of the organizers and participants of his Tenth year high school reunion.
In 1975, Dennis enrolled in the College of San Mateo’s fall semester where he majored in electronic engineering and he joined the College of San Mateo’s track team in 1975 through 1977. He was full of enthusiasm as a runner winning many victories, recognition, trophies and medals.
Dennis graduated and received a certificate of completion from the Solano County Regional Occupational Program with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. He received his HVAC certification for air conditioning and refrigeration and for electrical equipment. He also received certification from the ESCO institute under Section 609 of the Federal Clean Air Act in the proper use of Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning refrigerant recovery and recycling equipment.
After his college years Dennis accepted a position with Hewlett-Packard, in Palo Alto, California working in the field of electronics as an Assembly Production Technician. Dennis also worked for Topcon Positioning Systems in Livermore, California.
Dennis Ingram retired soon after suffering a stroke in 2011. He passed away on January 22, 2024 of a heart attack.
Dennis will be truly missed by his family, relatives and friends.
