DENNIS SPARKS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

As an unexpected loss happened to this family we (the Whitaker Family) are starting a Go Fund Me page to try to help this family out in a time of need. Let me start by telling you about this man Dennis Sparks married to Dana for 38 years had his best friend for life and I personally Kurt Whitaker and wife Lori were so blessed to have him and Dana in our lives, they are a Christian family that have outstanding morals. Through our journey on earth which seems to be very short and fast and sometimes to short and to fast, but when my wife and I met Dennis and Dana we knew we had come across some very special people and we were gifted by God for them walking into our life’s, he was a mentor to his family as well as to myself and my family. This man was more than committed to everything, he was tough, he was strong but no matter what the circumstance was he wore a smile on his face that would leave an everlasting impression. Dennis was a man that had the biggest heart of any person you could ever meet, he never carried himself first, everyone went before him it doesn't matter if the guy had a $1 in his pocket for lunch if his buddy needed to eat lunch and didn't have the funds you bet he was going to find a way to pay for his before he ate. He was the most unselfish man created. He was a believer in God and walked the path of him, Dennis Sparks and his family has faced nothing but battles and he the man of his household carried every bit of weight on his shoulders, his daughter Allyson was diagnosed with cancer at the same time he had been diagnosed with cancer and as her father he set back his problems and stood behind her 110% of the battle. (Which is why the family could use our help with funeral costs as life insurance was not an option for him since he had health problems and couldn't be accepted) He was also faced with dealing with Dana's family and his family being diagnosed with cancer he was adamant about making sure all of them made it to every treatment they had to be able to conquer there illness. Dennis' other daughter Ashley was in a horrific car accident and almost lost her life while Dennis being the man he is he once again stood beside his daughter, supported his family in their time of need giving up anything he may have needed. Dennis' brother in law was in a bad snowmobile accident causing him to be put down for an amount of time and in this time Dennis made sure to go over to his family’s house out of state to take care of anything and everything that needed done for their family while his brother in law Rick was not capable of doing. Dennis ran a successful excavating company for several years, when his life started to take a twist he knew he still had to support his family with all of this chaos he then reached out to a local business to lock in a job and shut his company down but wanted to make sure he was still that supporter of his family. Not only is Dennis a whole hearted person to his family but his friends as well he took these relationships as a family, when Kurt Whitaker got told he had to have open heart surgery unexpectedly Dennis promised him he was going to be by his side the whole time he went through this process he wasn't kidding he even cancelled his vacation to be there. The morning of Kurt's surgery he showed up to see him off and stayed there through it all and even stayed awhile after he came out of surgery there are not many friends that stand beside a person like that. If all of us could be half the person Dennis was this would be a beautiful place.
