Dennis Whitby Memorial Fund for Eileen Whitby

Dennis Whitby was an amazing friend, teacher, coach, mentor, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and so much more to many. His love for his wife Eileen, angel daughter Olivia Hope, family, friends, students, co-workers, Yogi his pup and life itself will always be remembered. A life well lived and an adventurer til the very end, Dennis Whitby left us way too soon, and his legacy is far-reaching.

 

As a middle school PE teacher, he thrived living through his minions and padawans as a Jedi Master in the gym. Whitby inspired many in his years as a coach; however, his example to the young men far outlasted their time on the mat. Ever on the hunt for the best surf, snow and sunset, he lived as he coached…composed and focused but determined to return to center “chill” mode as soon as the next set presented itself. Whitby loved his family, and the gravitational pull of his aura can be routinely testified about from New Jersey down to Virginia and all spots south of the equator and wherever the best powder accumulated.

 

In an effort to honor his life by helping his beloved family with all expenses unexpectedly needed now, we have started a GoFundMe to help offset the costs. Please consider donating in honor of Dennis Whitby and his beautiful daughter, Olivia Hope, who left this world way too soon but with so many to carry on the love for life and adventures galore.
