Dennis Brinkman's Medical Fund

Dennis Brinkman has been a part of our Fort Wayne Federal Family for 15 years as a Court Security Officer. His professional, yet friendly demeanor with the public helped ease anxiety and defuse potential problems as he aided individuals while performing his duties throughout our building. He always has a kind word for the elderly, and went out of his way to assist the handicapped, and speak to small children. All of us – will remember Dennis as a friendly figure who knew us by name and always asked about our well-being.
Denny was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and a tumor on his lung. Months of radiation to shrink the brain tumor are in his future. Unfortunately, his career with the Federal Court System has come to an end. He will be losing his health insurance in the next 30-60 days as well as his income from working here.
To support Denny and his family, we have set up a GoFundMe account to help cover insurance payments and any other medical expenses that he may incur. He started treatments Monday, July 6th.
Denny would never ask for this help - but we want to do this for a man who deserves this support. No amount is too small – we don’t know what Cobra will cost for his insurance or what they really need because they are at the beginning of a tough time. Donations can also be made anonymously if you prefer. We just hope to ease the burden a little if we can. All of us working together to support a friend could do a nice thing for someone who made life nicer (and more fun) for all of us!
