Dental Instruments for Breanna

Look up selflessness and care and you will find a photo of Breanna Benbow. Also known as the Class President for Howard University’s College of Dentistry Class of 2021, Breanna’s generosity knows no bounds when it comes to taking care of her classmates. She has a record of walking up the Hill or knocking on the dean’s door fighting for our rights. She sacrifices her time to make sure our class enjoys peace of mind while studying for our dental school exams. You can find her smiling or laughing out loud at jokes we share with her. She’s warm, caring, and personable. Any class would be honored with the presence of such a compassionate soul.

 

Last night (9/30/18), someone broke in to Breanna’s car and stole her dental cart. She lost thousands of dollars’ worth of instruments required to practice as a dental student. Now it is our turn to take care of the President who goes out of her way for us. These tools, simply put, are necessary for Breanna to pass exams and master the art of dentistry. As a class, we love our President and want to help her as much as we can. We are asking for any amount of donation to help Breanna cover the cost of replacing these instruments. Dental school is expensive as it is and replacing thousands of dollars’ worth of tools is an unwelcome stress we hope you can help Breanna overcome.

 

Items requiring replacement include:

-3 hand pieces with the motor 
-2 Columbia Dentoforms and teeth
-Restorative Cassette with associated mirror, scaler, burnishers, etc
-Burs and bur blocks for each hand piece
-Dental cart
-Rubber dam kit
-Garrison matrix band kit
-Wooden wedges 
-Mannequin mounting pole 
-Mannequin head
-Curing light 
-knives and spatulas 
Etc
