Denver Dance Center Needs Your Help Right Now...

Denver Dance Center is in need of your support during this very crucial time we are in...
As many of you know, we struggled last year to maintain sustainability due to high rent increases in the Denver area and were able to raise some funds through GoFundMe as well as a couple of fundraisers.
Now, we are faced with the continued significant ramifications of COVID-19 potentially putting DDC at risk, once again. We have already had a mandated closure earlier this year and reopened the middle of June with few classes and very limited numbers of people allowed in classes to maintain social distancing. Since the day we reopened, DDC and it's renter's have been vigilent in disinfecting surfaces and wearing masks while in the building in order to keep the studio open and safe for many in our dance community.
As we have had to continue limited numbers in classes, this will continue to put a significant strain on us and the dance community that considers Denver Dance Center their home.
This closure has not only impacted all that take classes but those that rent DDC as they potentially will not have a studio either.
I have been very thankful for for all the support in helping create my vision of a sanctuary and 'home' for the dance community over the last 11 years. But, as the Covid pandemic continues, we continue to struggle to get the rent and utilities paid.
To add into all of this, our well loved accompianist for ballet, Daniel Magoun, recently passed away, unexpectedly. Not from Covid but other health issues. He was an amazing artist, composer, kind spirit, gentle soul and could fill your inner being with his music during class......
He will be greatly missed!
Denver needed a community such as this years ago, and with your support and faith, and many angels along the way, we have a place I consider sacred. A place where the artist in all of us can thrive, grow, keep up our skills, and feel nurtured physically and emotionally.
And a place for our future dancers.....
If you did not see this, last year, we were featured on The Denver Channel 7News about our skyrocketing increase of rent. Here is the link:

As I know these will be trying times for all of us in the coming months. Our current situation came on very fast and furious and has turned our lives upside down. It is times like these many dancers in our community need a place like Denver Dance Center.
Please consider helping out not just Denver Dance Center but the many dancers that have found our studio to continue their art in these times~
Without DDC, many dancers will cease to dance.......
With much appreciation and many thanks ~
