Denver Ted's Employee Relief Fund

Donation protected
In April 2023, the dedicated employees of Denver Ted's Cheesesteaks faced an unexpected and devastating turn of events. Due to mismanagement by the business-owning organization, Main Street Phoenix Project, they found themselves jobless and burdened with unpaid wages for nearly three weeks worth of honest work. This campaign has been initiated to rally support for these 16 hardworking individuals who have been left in dire straits due to the abrupt closure of their workplace.

The restaurant industry is notorious for its challenges, but these employees worked very hard to serve this community with Denver's best cheesesteaks and created the welcoming atmosphere we loved and kept going back for. Now it's our turn to show them the support and appreciation they truly deserve. The Denver Ted's community may be small but it's strong. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of these former Denver Ted's Cheesesteaks employees.

Here are the names of these dedicated employees and the hours of labor they are owed:

• Naomi Alene - 10.25 hours
• Kyanna Burrell - 52.57 hours
• Brendan Carley - 54.97 hours
• Vincent Cipri - 95.18 hours
• Kyle Edwards - 79.51 hours
• Hannah Flaherty - 31.2 hours
• Ernest Fuchigami - 12.54 hours
• Marcus Hinois - 96.17 hours
• Megan Holman - 129.78 hours
• Dylan Kissinger - 103.03 hours
• David Martinez - 97.86 hours
• Zachary Pennington - 90.02 hours
• Cesar Pineda - 67.31 hours
• Stephen Ruiz - 57.09 hours
• Drazana Scherbi - 41.84 hours
• Tyler Zappa - 121.98 hours

The numbers speak for themselves--16 employees, more than 1,140 unpaid hours of labor, and over $23,000 in unpaid wages. These are not just statistics; they represent real people who trusted their workplace, and that trust was badly broken.

Your contribution to this GoFundMe campaign will directly benefit these employees who have faced financial hardships through no fault of their own. Outside of the fees taken by gofundme.com, 100% of the money raised will be paid to the staff.

We understand that it has taken time to organize this campaign, but as the saying goes, "Better late than never". Let's show the world the strength and compassion of the Denver Ted's community.
