Deported Homies
Donation protected
To create a re-entry home that can uplift the community of deported formerly incarcerated homies in Mexico by providing rehabilitation, employment, and education services. To this end, we need basic materials such as computers and furniture so that homies can have a dignified living environment and access to the internet.
Many homies come to Mexico unfamiliar with the language, culture, customs, and institutions. To make matters worse, they often arrive without knowing a single person. This combination leaves the homies without resources and support, which can often lead to the same behavior that had them incarcerated in the United States.
Our objective is to break this chain and provide the resources and community needed to create a path where homies don’t simply survive but thrive in Mexico. Our house is a safe place where homies will learn to heal and get support services to improve academic, psychosocial, and employment outcomes and in turn contribute to Mexican society.
