Deported to Colombia, Erickson Needs Your Support
After living in the US since he was 8 years old, Erickson was deported to Colombia - where he has no friends or family - last September. Separated from his young daughter living in Miami, he's struggling to find a job and make ends meet.
Erickson spent 3 years in detention and was the victim of a brutal assault that left him with a broken nose. Now, he's devoting all his time to searching for work in Cartegana. Despite applying for dozens of jobs, he's yet to find one and is relying on small amounts of money sent to him by friends to pay his rent and buy food.
Those who visited Erickson in detention describe him as kind, thoughtful, energetic and hardworking. Erickson's story was featured twice in IMM Print in 2019, and updated recently.
PLEASE help us raise money to help support Erickson in this terribly difficult time of transition to life in an unfamiliar country.
