DePue Visual Arts Program
Donation protected
Throughout the years, DePue School has always had a strong K-12 ceramics program. Unfortunately, our very old kiln stopped working in January of last year. It is too old to try to fix- the firebrick is very damaged from years of use. Our school district does not have the money to replace it, so I am trying to raise the money to buy a new kiln and replenish our ceramics supplies. We need $3200 dollars for the kiln itself, $350 for enough clay for all students in art, and about $150 to buy some more ceramic glazes. The students of DePue School and I would be greatly appreciative of anything you could donate to our art program. In order for the students to be able to produce some projects this year, we would need to raise the funds and have the kiln and clay ordered by mid- December. If we possibly go over our goal, the extra money will be used for classroom supplies which are always needed. I have set our Superintendent Chris Dougherty as benificiary for the funds raised so the money can go directly into an account set aside for the visual arts department. Thank you in advance for any amount you can contribute to our visual arts program.
