Deputy Nolan Murray Donation Fund
Donation protected
On March 1st, 2017 at 3:48p.m. officers with the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team were attempting to serve a search warrant at the Econo Lodge Hotel. As officers attempted to make entry into the second floor room a gun shot (s) was fired at the officers through a window striking Jasper County Deputy Nolan Murray. Deputy Murray, who was wearing a bullet resistant vest suffered injury from the gun shot and was transported by EMS to Freeman Hospital. Deputy Murray is in stable condition and is in good spirits. He and his family will have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Please keep Deputy Murray and his family in your prayers.
We have had numerous people asking about providing food and items for Murray's family. The family has asked that if people wish to donate, it be in the form of a non-perishable food. They have specifically said cereal and almond milk for the kids would be greatly appreciated.
Any donations can be dropped off at the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, 231 South Main in Carthage, Monday through Friday 8-4 pm. If over the weekend it can be taken to the jail at 405 East 5th Street
