Deputy Sheriff Jake Allmendinger Family Help Fund

Sheriff’s Deputy Jake Allmendinger; 31, was tragically Killed on October 19th while attempting to rescue a motorist stranded in the Bridger Mountains during a snow blizzard. His vehicle lost traction while climbing a rugged mountain road that had become icy. In an attempt to flee from the vehicle as it slid toward the edge of the road, Jake lost his footing and was overtaken by his patrol vehicle and was subsequently crushed. Despite repeated attempts by his partner to free Jake, the rescue was unsuccessful and Jake died at the scene.

Jake left behind his lovely wife Monica 31, and their three precious children, Bentley 8, Lexi 5, and Kai 1. Jake passed away 6 hours after celebrating his wife’s 31st birthday with his family at Old Chicago restaurant. Jake was loved and respected in the Bozeman community, he had a gentle and kind spirit, and will be greatly missed.

Jake worked extremely hard as a landscaper and a Deputy ensuring that his family would be well cared for. He loved his family more than anything. In Jakes absence, it is our goal as a community to honor his grieving family by raising enough money to alleviate the financial burden of their mortgage so that Monica can continue to raise their children in the family home. The road ahead for all of them will be very difficult and lengthy. Please join together with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s office relief efforts and all of us in showing Jakes family our appreciation for his heroic action that fateful day.
