My partner Daniella had irreversible ileostomy surgery to correct a bowel condition that was not treatable in December 2021 this was a major life changing operation and something that has changed her life massively. She has had all of her bowel completely removed and a stoma created, known as a ileostomy!

Over the last few months she’s been nothing but brave and heroic throughout the recovery. Dealing with blockages to leaks and sleepless nights this is just the start of the new journey with her stoma.

when you say stoma and ileostomy many people look at you gone out and this seems to be such a sensitive subject that many people don’t realise how big or what it is. They don’t understand the day to day struggles people go through with this operation and what they go through in general life.

i want to shout from the rooftops that it’s ok to have a colostomy/Ileostomy and that there is nothing wrong wearing a bag! And raise the awareness to do this!
