Derek Blake & Family

Derek was admitted to the hospital on 11/21/22 for emergency surgery on the discs of his lower spinal cord near his sacrum.

For those who know Derek, he’s had excruciating relentless pain in his lower back. After ending up in the ER, multiple X-Rays and MRIs, he was faced with the option of emergency surgery or inevitable lifelong paralysis.

Derek is a devoted father of 5 beautiful children, and the owner of Sierra Vista’s local business “Blake’s Landscaping”.

If all goes well with surgery today, the healing process will include 6-8 weeks of mandatory bed rest.

This GoFundMe is to help raise money to get him and his family by, to cover rent, bills, and expenses for the next 2+ months that he will be unable to work. Coral will have to take the time off from work to care for him as well. This leaves them without any income until he is rehabilitated and healed enough for them to return to work.
