Derek Brassel Jr Medical & Monthly Living Expenses

Greetings Family and Friends,

We are raising money and asking for support on behalf of our Brother, Derek Brassel Jr. On 12/18/23, Derek was involved in a terrible car accident where he was struck by a moving vehicle. He sustained several traumatic injuries that included, a broken pelvis and leg, along with a skull fracture and small brain bleed. His inpatient hospital stay included surgeries to repair his broken leg and pelvis along with speech, occupational, and physical therapy rehabilitation. He is currently recovering at home and must continue with outpatient physical therapy rehab for the next several months. We have been advised by Doctors that he will be in a wheelchair unable to walk or bear weight for at least 12 weeks.

Derek is a brilliantly gifted full time musician. He has been blessed to fulfill his purpose and earn a living doing what he loves. He has been blessed to share his gift not only in the Memphis Music Community, but all over the world. As a full time artist and musician, Derek will be unable to work and earn money to pay his monthly living expenses or medical bills for his on-going care without all of our help. He has a very long and difficult road to recovery, but he and our family are so grateful that he is alive and able to take the journey to healing. His strength, determination, and perseverance during this unfortunate circumstance is a true inspiration. Our prayer and hope is that Derek can heal and recover without the financial stresses of mounting medical bills and paying his monthly living expenses.
