Derek “DP” Palmer

Hi, my name is Demetria Jackson-Thompson and I am the sister of Derek. On January 21,2023 he was fatally shot and killed by a stray bullet while in the park. Derek was 25 years old and a loving young man with so many hopes and dreams. His smile and personality would light up a room and he would also have a good laugh/joke waiting for you. He was also a father to two young children who’s mother will need all the help she can get. Both of Our Parents are deceased and the weight of this responsibility is mine. I’m in need of your help. As a mother of two myself, my husband and I are seeking assistance in burying him and helping his children, in which I feel is my responsibility now that he is no longer here.
