Derek Palmer Medical Expenses

A few days after the loss of a very important
family member (Jessica Proffitt), we found discovered that my grandfather Derek Palmer,
has been diagnosed with Cancer...

He has adenoid squamous cell carcinoma which is a rare cancer with no known causes. It is very hard to cure and only option we have right now is to remove the tumor with surgery. 

Late stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma of the neck. He will need surgery to remove the large tumor and the affected bone and tissue around it. He will be losing his left ear and needs a skin/tissue graft to fill the hole the cancer has cause, followed by a minimum of 6 to 7 weeks of radiation. Cost to date is about $9000 and we have not had surgery or radiation yet. Costs will be tens of thousands of dollars and he has no insurance.

Before this surgery and treatment, he will be needing surgery for teeth removal and a 2 weeks recovery. 

Though my family has never been one to ask for financial help, if you feel in your heart to donate towards the costs of these medical bills that are ahead of us, we greatly appreciate you but want to make it known that even if you cannot or you do not, we still appreciate you taking the time or maybe even caring for our family.
