My name is Kaylene. My dad has battled colon cancer for the last almost 8 years. He's gone through treatment after treatment. My dad has always said it's about the quality of life not quantity. He changed his eating habits, he changed the way he looked at life. It was and is so inspiring.

Through the last 6 months his chemo treatments that kept the tumors small stopped working. As they grow and spread we face the unknown. My dad just had a hospital stay they drained almost 9liters from his abdomen and we found out the the cancer is spreading and growing. This is causing fluid retention and there is a tumor pressing on his lower intestines making eating and normal day activities nearly impossible.

We want dad to live out his life to the fullest. He's surrounded by the people he loves and loves him.

His end goal is to be placed in his family cemetery and to be cremated. The cost to do so and get him down there and having a beautiful memorial is what we are hoping to raise. We know just to put him at the family site will be about 3000.0. Plus the trip to get him there which I haven't looked into that yet. Any additional funds will go towards any other bills he leaves behind for his significant other and his 2 children.
