Derick Walters Children College Fund

Hello everyone, my name is Leslee Walters. My family and I are making a Go Fund Me in honor of my brother, Derick Walters.

Derick was diagnosed with an untreatable Cancer, 15 months ago. He completed all treatment options that were offered and nothing was successful. He was offered a final option with a trial treatment that sadly was not successful. He passed away of on March 21, 2024 with family at bedside.

Unfortunately, Derick was unable to sign up for a life insurance plan to leave for his three children (Reese (17), Wyatt (14), and Olivia,12), after being diagnosed. Derick was trying to save each month, knowing that he did not have much time. I assured him that I would get all of the money he had saved to his children. In Derick’s words, “They are the only thing keeping me going.”

In lieu of flowers, our family has decided it would be best to have all memorial contributions be made to his three children in the form of a scholarship fund. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
