Derik Williams Burial Fund

Corona virus took a great man. Derik Williams went to the ER on Saturday July 11. He was admitted to the ICU the same day and put on a CPAP to help his breathing. Derik called home on Wednesday July 15th sounding very much his old self. He was cheerful and he felt better. On Thursday July 12th I got a call from his doctor that Derik's breathing was not life sustainable and he needed to put him on a ventilator. Derik and I cried together over the phone as we said our "I love yous".  He fought for four more days, alone and scared. He succomed to Covid on July 20th just 8 days before his 55th birthday . Derik loved OCR races. He loved Spartan the most. He was an encouragement to all out on the course. He also loved to serve his community through Stand Down, soup kitchens, and hospitality at the Rock Church in Point Loma.  It costs around $4000 to cremate him so I am asking  mine and Derik's communities to help.
