Derrick Ayers...He needs your help today!

Hello, my name is Chris Dax- former head soccer coach at Coker College in Hartsville, SC. I had the pleasure of coaching him during his time there.

I am currently a fundraiser at the University of Maryland so that is why I am jumping in here to INVITE YOU TO HELP DERRICK.

On May 23, I received a text from Derrick sharing the following: "...I'm in the hosptial. I had emergency surgery on Thursday night for an infection in my right groin. They told me that if I had waited to come in I could have died within hours. I was an indeterminate amount of time from being septic. It was almost too close to call.

During my bloodwork they diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes. My A1C was 10. Bloodsugar was 493.

I was in ICU on Friday and had a second surgery Saturday night. I'm doing ok now--but will be in the hospital a few more days..." He was infected with Fourniers Gangrene.

NOW COMES THE MOST DIFFICULT PART.

Derrick does not currently carry insurance.

He needs our collective help.
