Two weeks ago my younger brother, Derrick Kight, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This form of cancer starts in the bone marrow and can spreads into the blood. Since his diagnosis, Derrick has been admitted to Emory University Hospital in DeKalb County, where doctors and nurses have been working non-stop to fight this cancer. He will be there and out of work for at least a month while being treated, tested, and Fighting!
Without insurance coverage through his employer to off-set some of these medical expenses, this GoFundMe is set up to help deal with the overwhelming costs associated with care and treatment to solely focus on getting better.
