Support Southwest Counseling in memory of Des Fitzgerald

I am running the Killarney Half Marathon on June 8th in remembrance of my friend Des, who tragically lost his life to sucide in April 2021.

Des worked as a firefighter and had struggled with his mental health after a traumatic rescue operation for which he had received a bravery award.

The money raised will benefit South West Counselling Centre, who rely heavily on fundraising to support their low cost and free counseling service. Southwest are community based and offer psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults and parents.
