Desert Lilies, a docufilm

Desert Lilies is a documentary film following Alice's journey to race the 2024 edition of Desertus Bikus, a 1350 km long race starting in the South of France and finishing near Lisbon.

To prepare for her journey, Alice will interview other women competing in adventure sports, uncovering personal stories of perseverance, courage, and determination. This, combined with a lot of training, will hopefully help her complete the 1350 km long race within the 7-day time limit.

Desert Lilies aims to shed light on the challenges women face in sports, their incredible accomplishments, and how it is fundamental to have more role models to inspire change in society at large.

We are fundraising a minimum of 3500 EUR, to be able to cover initial filming costs. This is how we plan to use our funds:

Production Costs - 40% (1400 euros):

Post-Production Costs - 30% (1050 euros):

Video editing

Sound design

Color correction and grading

Licensing for music

Marketing and Distribution - 20% (700 euros):
