Judy Massey Needs Our Help!

Hi, my name is Julianne Miller-Boyer, from Landers, CA.

I'm starting this Go Fund Me campaign on behalf of a dear friend of mine. I met Judy Massey about ten years ago at Dr. Lou Gerhardt’s Tough-Minded Optimists group. She is kind, helpful, intelligent, artistic, and a great friend. She has been a light in our community, and she could use our help.

Judy is dealing with the tremendous stresses of bereavement, taxes, and layers of government red tape. Her mother passed away, her brother passed away, her mother's house burned down. Her home is in dire need of roofing and plumbing repair. Code enforcement issues, property taxes and her truck breaking down have become an overwhelming avalanche of disaster that has left her really needing our help.

It was not easy for an independent soul like Judy to ask for help. I volunteered to start this fundraising effort because people have helped me in the past, and I think we all benefit from the chance to pay it forward, pay it back, or just give out of gratitude for what we have been given. Judy has offered to mail or email one of her beautiful art prints as a token of gratitude to anyone who donates. In this season of giving and giving thanks, please help give a hand up to to a dear soul who needs it. Every dollar is a blessing, when we all pitch in, it really makes a difference. Thank you.

12/1/23 Update: Thank you SO much for your support! We are close to getting to the amount needed to pay the first installment of the property taxes, and are getting estimates on the truck repairs. We've raised our goal to take care of some of Judy's more pressing vehicle and home repair needs. Please continue to share, we are so very grateful for your support.
