Memorial fund for Deshawn Chery

It is with deep sorrow that we annouce the passing of our beloved sister Deshawn Chery. She was a spit fire, loving, funny and dynamic. An amazing daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend, advocate and pillar of her community. Without her we are truly lost.

On Wednesday November 23rd, 2022 Deshawn passed away in her home unexpectedly, just as she was preparing to spend Thanksgiving with her family. She left behind her two children, (one of which is in her freshman year of college), her Mother and Father, 4 siblings, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

The loss of Deshawn has deeply impacted our family and we will forever feel a gaping hole. Deshawn's impact on those around her was and still is immeasurable, she commanded the room with her power, her big laugh, big love and big personality. We have never felt a loss so deep, she was truly the glue that brought us all together. She was family orientated, and Thanksgiving was a holiday she was always prepared to throw down for. We'd spend hours laughing, dancing and enjoying family. This time of year will never be the same for us.

At this time we are open and thankful for any donations in contribution to her Memorial, the education of her 18 year old daughter, who is currently attending NCAT as a freshman, and for her Son.

We are truly grateful for your generosity as we embark on this difficult journey.
