Desire of the ages

We are a group of 12 young people that are part of the National Citizen Service to help the community of Chesterfield. We are holding an arts and crafts event for elderly people to reduce loneliness. We are creating twiddle muffs which help people with issues regarding mental health and dementia. The twiddle muffs keep people calm through creating visual, tactile and sensory stimulation which helps people to focus their minds. The proceeds form this event will go towards young people with issues regarding mental health and dementia patients in the Chesterfield Royal Hospital . We want to help our community as much as possible and raise awareness of mental health issues, whilst trying to make people’s life’s more manageable through a simple creation. We need your help for art supplies, funding and advertising.
