Desiree Lindsey- Medical Bills

Hi, my name is Carolyn, and I'm raising funds to help support my niece, Desiree cover the costs of medical expenses. Here's her story.

Desiree was a beautiful, vibrant young lady with a bright future ahead of her. She started her nonprofit to help those in need gain the necessary resources for daily living, because of her huge heart. In 2018, Desiree was diagnosed with a very rare form of Chrohn's disease, which attacks the rectum and bowels, resulting in a temporary colostomy bag. The colostomy and a partial rectal removal provided relief, but was very short-lived. In early 2023, the Chrohns had spread throughout the rectum, anus, and lady parts requiring removal of those body parts and reconstructive surgery, recently completed at OU Hospital. Our beautiful, vibrant girl has gone from being active to now bedridden at the young age of 30.

Desiree faces a long recovery road with lots of rehab to learn basic functions all over again. Her inpatient rehab was recently denied by the insurance company and the medical expenses have become overwhelming.
