Desiree Marshall Memorial Fund

This is one of the hardest things to do, how do you summarize someone's life that was so dear to many?

Desiree Athena Marshall, 51, was an extraordinary person that will be greatly missed by all. She was a kind and genuine soul who should not have lost her life to Covid-19 on May 22nd, 2020. She was a fighter till the end!  Now, we are asking for help to raise funds for her funeral, maintaining her home and covering any final expenses that she might have had. Her immediate family should not have to deal with this alone.

Desi was a loving mother to her 2 children, Lee and Shannon. She put her heart and soul in raising her children and they were her pride and joy. Her face would light up every time she spoke about them. She had that special bond that could not be broken. She was their rock, their best friend, their biggest fan, their confidant....their EVERYTHING. Lee and Shannon never expected to lose their mom so soon. NO ONE DID!!

Desi's heart was so big, it had no boundaries. She loved her fur babies, Pirate and Cowboy. She loved all animals as if they were her own. She loved her family, her friends, her coworkers, music, plants, coffee lover and The Detroit Tigers. She would always have either chocolate or peppermint puffs at her desk for anyone.

Desi's giving spirit was what made her excel during her 20+ years in the medical field. She was always willing to help the patients navigate through the difficult world of insurance requirements. When there was an unusual need or if a patient needed assistance, she would find a way to work with the insurance company and the patient to get it resolved. She always made the patient feel like number one and with respect. Countless patients would ask to thank her in person or send cards of thanks for the help she gave them. This is the type or person Desi was, a sweet, compassionate person who was always willing to help those around her, and in turn we want to repay her kindness.

Desi meant so much to the staff of Main Center Family Medicine. She was an integral part of our everyday life and how our office ran every single day. She was not just another employee, she was our family and we will miss her with all our heart. The office is not the same without her - there is a profound sadness in the Main Center Family.

She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Desi will remain forever be in our hearts.
