Desirée Sulamith Joy Randle, age 24 of Grand Rapids, MN has gone home and found her forever peace on December 31, 2023.
Desirée was born in Grand Rapids, MN to Clarence and Ellie Randle in 1999. Her life was not defined by her pain, but by her deep love for her family, her friends, her cat (Amy), all things celestial, and being immersed in nature. She was happiest when in the mountains and she spent many hours swinging in her aqua-colored hammock simply enjoying the peace it brought her.
Desirée was an avid hiker, loved camping, exploring, baking and cake decorating, music and going to concerts, and creating extravagant costume designs that no one could compete with. She taught herself the Japanese language and aspired to an ESL teacher in Japan. Desirée was an incredible daughter, sister and friend. Our hearts will forever ache without her on this Earth, but we find comfort in knowing we will see her again. We are left overwhelmingly heartbroken but comforted by all the memories and outpouring of support from family and friends.
Desirée is proceeded in death by her brother Benjamin. She is survived by her parents, Clarence and Ellie; her siblings, Sophia, Cece, Joshua (Ashley), and Rachelle (Nathan) Bergstedt, her beloved Amy, as well as a great number of cherished cousins and extended family. We are respecting her wishes to be cremated.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Solid Rock Church of God (555 La Prairie Ave, Grand Rapids) beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by the 11:00 AM memorial service. The family would humbly prefer contributions towards a memorial rather than flowers as Desirée has requested a bench and a tree planted in her memory.
