Desiree (Monroe) Lopes

Hello Family & Friends!

As some of you may or may not know Desiree' was diagnosed with Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer on September 14th. She has decided to fight for her life! Her husband and three sons are asking for financial assistance as they embark on this endeavor! This will allow them to focus on helping her through this season with bills, medications, and transportation to multiple therapy appointments.

In addition to the recent diagnosis of cancer Desiree' has had to undergo 5 major surgeries since February 2021. Desiree has not been able to work since the surgery she had in June 2022. This most recent surgery that took place on August 18th has taken a huge impact on her overall health. Desiree cannot start her chemotherapy treatment until her body recovers and heals from her last surgery.

We are in the process of trying to apply for low-income assistance to help us meet the families day to day needs. We also welcome any ideas, tips or suggestions on additional resources from fellow Cancer survivors/caregivers who have faced this monster experience.
