Desks for Virtual Learning

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced my children's school district to go to a virtual-only learning environment. After speaking with parents in the area, I've learned many children are attending school using coffee tables, dining room tables, couches, etc. Sitting in these awkward positions for hours at a time can be uncomfortable! 

I cannot take credit for the plans, as I saw them posted on another social media page. I thought I would use my tools and experience to provide these desks to children in the area. The desks are made of plywood and pine and are left unstained and unpainted, so the children are able to decorate how they would like! 

I started the project using my own funds, but due to the overwhelming positive response and a segment on Fox29, I would like assistance in funding the project. Any funds collected will be used towards materials (plywood and pine boards) and consumables such as sandpaper and screws. Each desk takes approximately 1.5-2 hours and has an average cost of $25. I wanted to keep the goal relatively low to help ensure I have the time to make the desks, but would be grateful and amazed if we're able to go above this!
