Desmond's Medical Needs

I am posting this for help with my nephew Desmonds medical needs as well as to help lessen my twin sister's stress while she navigates through this as a single mother of 3. Desmond was recently diagnosed with Annominate Artery Compression Syndrome, a form of CHD. He had many symptoms leading up to this diagnosis that my sister noticed almost immediately after his birth, however it took a few of the surgeons that she works with to help her pinpoint what could be going on. From specialist thinking that it was simply a laryngeal/trachea issue, to realizing that the vascular rings from his heart are tightening around his larynx/trachea. He has had constant issues with feeding, and his oxygen levels while he sleeps. Through nativating through this Congenital Heart Defect, Desmond finally had a rush put on his appointment and will be seen by Vanderbilt next week, early August to discuss how they will proceed with surgery in the near future and how tedious this surgery is going to be. With everything going well, Desmond is still expected to be in the ICU for at least a week after his upcoming surgery. This has all been especially difficult for my sister with having three children, being a single mother, and having to take off work for a multitude of appointments. She still has bills to pay, travel costs to and from these appointments, as well as regular costs that come from her other two children. I want to lessen her stress and hope we can raise enough money to help her through this tough process.
