Desperate plea: Rescue my family from war

I am Omar From Palestine, Gaza Strip. and With deep sorrow, I reach out to you today for help in evacuating my family and my husband's family from Gaza to Egypt.

We have lost our cat after 240 days of war due to frequent displacement. There are eight members of my family in Gaza, including my parents, two brothers, six sisters, and five members of my husband's family. We lost my husband's brother, Noor Al-Din, after he was killed while praying Fajr just a short while ago. Over 80 of my cousins have been lost since the war began, and we do not know what happened to my aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children. My family has lost everything in this war, including our businesses and homes.

During the war, my family was evacuated from north to south, becoming homeless and evacuated over seven times. They are now living on the streets with no place to call home.

I have two nieces, aged six months and two and a half years, and my siblings cannot find diapers or milk for them. In addition to my mother suffering from severe asthma and my father suffering from diabetes, we cannot find medication for my father, let alone clean water and food, leading to contracting several diseases.

My family members are highly educated and come from diverse backgrounds. My mother is a nurse at the hospital, and my father is retired. My sisters are professional engineers, and my husband's brothers include an accountant and a lawyer, but they have now lost everything and all sources of income.

Finally, my family has agreed to leave Gaza, but they will not be able to receive any financial assistance, meaning that my family will be responsible for all travel and settlement expenses in Egypt alone.

As a result, I am their only hope to leave Gaza, and I am responsible for all expenses. Please help me raise the application fees and travel costs for 13 people.

To facilitate the evacuation of my family from Egypt to Malaysia , I am setting up a GoFundMe campaign to raise $153589 and here are the details of the funds:

153,489 USD

• A total of $6,589 USD will be used to cover GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% plus $0.30 USD per donation).

• An estimated $6,000 USD will be sufficient to cover the basic needs of my family in Egypt, including housing, food, and other necessities.

• A total of $104,000 USD is allocated to cover expenses related to obtaining permits to leave Gaza, as well as crossing fees at Rafah, the border between Egypt and Gaza. This amount is divided into $6,000 - $10,000 USD per person, including my family and my husband's family (13 people).

• Travel cost from Cairo to Malaysia $14,400 USD

• Cost of living for three months $22,500 USD for five families. This equals $1,500 per month for each family (my parents, my older brother and his family, my younger brother and his family, my husband's family, and my husband's older brother and his family).

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference in the safety of my family. The funds collected will be used transparently and efficiently to ensure that every dollar is spent to ensure their safety.
