Help Destinee Become a Sports Psychologist

Hello, my name is Destinee Ortega. I attended a small high school in Louise, Texas. I graduated 4th in my class, with honors, from Louise High School in May 2021. After graduation, I decided to attend a college/university and be a First Generation. I decided to attend Houston Baptist University in the Fall of 2022. I was nervous, but I knew I had an army behind me and people to prove wrong. I am majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Kinesiology, in hopes to become a Sports Psychologist. I have dreams and aspirations to graduate and become a Sports Psychologist for the Dallas Cowboys, or any NFL team. My freshman year, I had a 3.3 GPA, and I made the Dean’s List my second semester. I am now in my second year, hoping to start my second semester. 

The reason for this GoFundMe is that I have struggled to make the payments to the university, and because of that, I have a financial hold on my account, which prevents me from registering for classes for Spring 2023. I have been applying for every scholarship that I am eligible for, and I looked into pulling out a loan. I cannot get a loan without an eligible co-signer, but everyone I have asked do not meet the credit requirements. If I can get the amount I owe under $3,000, then I will be able to register for classes. I do not want to miss a semester and fall behind in my journey of following my dreams.
