Destinee's First Classroom
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Destinee Freeman and I just graduated from Howard University as an Elementary Education Major. Starting this August I will begin my first year as a 3rd grade teacher at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School in Arlington, VA. This school is a Title I school that serves primarily Black and Brown students. Almost 60% of those students receive a free or reduced lunch.
It has always been my dream to welcome students into my classroom, and be able to provide them with all the tools and materials that they need. Your donation will help to provide my students with notebooks, writing utensils, backpacks, paper, and personal hygiene items. Your donation will also aid in helping to develop a diverse classroom library, filled with books that will aid in improving the comprehension and fluency of my students, specifically those who are academically disadvantaged.
Anything you have to give will be greatly appreciated. I would love to be able to give my students the educational experience of a lifetime. Thank you all, and God Bless!
