Why I'm fundraising

God bless everyone, my name is Wanda Mejia I am Destiny Crawford's aunt, she is the beloved daughter of Prisilla Crawford and Lovell Crawford. Our beautiful Destiny has gained her wings after a lifetime battle with the illness of Sickle Cell Anemia on the 2nd day of January of 2024. Destiny would have been 21 this month.

I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of Destiny and her family to assist with funeral costs. Due to Destiny’s condition with (Sickle Cell disease) she was not able to obtain adequate life insurance to cover end of life expenses.

This past year had been one full of struggles with her disease and we saw her going in and out of the hospital fighting each crisis with bravery and determination to beat Sickle cell. Priscilla her mother had to stop working the las 3 months in order to take better care of her princess and try to get her to get better. Destiny leaves behind her Mother Priscilla, her father Lovell, sister Dalila and her little brother Lovell Jr.
