My name is Destiny Shabazz I am 19 years old from Oakland Ca. I attend the Illustrious Fisk University. At Fisk University I serve as one of the Vice Presidents for student body government, A Fisk Executive Leader and the Marketing and social media manager for the Carribean student association. I have an outstanding balance of 6,000 this semester and If I am able to come back next semester I will have a 6,000 balance. I have pulled out the most loans for the years I am an Independent student and I have been since I was 15 years old. I dont have parents to pull parent plus loans and I am constantly applying for scholarships and UNCF etc. due to outstanding balance Fisk is asking me to set up a plan to pay 2,000 dollars every month for next semester I am unable of such even with a full time job, no family support and an eyelash business I run etc (Instagram @HBCUbaddestlashes). I am asking even if you can donate 1$, 50$ or 100$ it will help my and go directly to my Fisk balance to pay for my education. If you don't have money to donate a simple retweet, repost or just send this to friends, family or alum who possibly can help it will be very helpful.

When I graduate college I plan to go back to Oakland, Ca and become the Mayor. I believe someone that is from the city should run the city due to me actually knowing and growing through the ins and out of the community. Knowing and being able to communicate with my community is a gift. I was born to serve the needs of people with bringing equity and equality. My plan is to change my community financially, socially and physically. I just want my city to grow and prosper beautifully, the way it should. Once my term is up I plan to run for the congresswoman for California. I want to be apart of the policy-making in America and be able to choose and explain these huge policies to the people of inner communities who are not included in huge policies that affect them.
